Joe Biden Ferrari simile compares gun owners with sports car drivers, Joe Biden's Ferrari simile comparing gun ownership to driving a sports car is making headlines. The Vice President said today that some gun owners want weapons for one strange reason, "it's like driving a Ferrari."

An April 11, 2013 report by Yahoo! News quoted Biden as he spoke about gun owners who are not also hunters. He said, " . . . they own guns for one of two reasons: self protection or they just like the feel of that AR-15 at the range."

Biden continued, "They like the way it feels. You know, it's like driving a Ferrari." He made the comments to MSNBC as Congress prepared to decide whether to debate a bill concerning gun control.

The Joe Biden Ferrari comment was accompanied by dual hand gestures as the Vice President mimicked holding a gun in each hand.
