Boston Marathon bombings investigation leads to search of Revere apartment, On April 15, 2013, only hours after two bombs left death and destruction near the finish line of the famed Boston Marathon, police are searching an apartment in the suburb of Revere, according to WBZ-TV.

The blasts left three people dead and more than 144 others injured, 17 of them critically.

A witness to the devastation, runner Tim Davey, told ABC News, “They started bringing people in with no limbs.” He noted he and his wife Lisa attempted to shield their children’s eyes to the blood and gore left by the bombings, but said, “they saw a lot.”

Massachusetts State Police confirmed to ABC that law enforcement is searching an apartment in the Boston suburb of Revere, but no further details were disclosed.

According to tweets posted earlier in the evening by the Boston Police Dept., those who have any information about the bombings can leave an anonymous tip on its Crime Stoppers Tip Line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS. In addition, anyone looking for relatives that may have been injured during the incident are asked to call 1-617-635-4500.
