Showers and thunderstorms growing threat for tomorrow evening, A stationary front to the south of New Jersey will slowly lift north over the next 24 hours leading to increasing clouds and isolated to widely scattered showers. Winds will veer from the northeast to south at 5 to 15 mph today through tomorrow morning. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50′s over Long Island, lower to mid 60′s along the coast, and mid to upper 60′s elsewhere this afternoon. Tonight, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 50′s for lows.

With the warm front lifting north tomorrow morning, fog will be a threat throughout the region tomorrow morning. The low clouds will lift late tomorrow morning leading to scattered to broken cloud cover with isolated to widely scattered showers in the afternoon. Winds will veer to the southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 60′s over Long Island, mid to upper 60′s along the New Jersey coast, and lower to mid 70′s throughout the rest of the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan area.

A strong cold front will move through the region tomorrow night with widespread showers and strong to severe thunderstorms. The thunderstorms will be capable of wind gusts over 50 mph, frequent lightning, and very heavy downpours. The widespread showers and thunderstorms will be expected through early Saturday morning. Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40′s to mid 50′s for lows.

High pressure will be in control Saturday morning on through Monday with scattered clouds and seasonable temperatures. Temperatures will range from the upper 30′s to lower 40′s for lows and upper 50′s to mid 60′s for highs.

An area of low pressure will produce scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will range from the mid 40′s to lower 50′s for lows and mid to upper 60′s for highs.
