Rain tapering to showers by this afternoon across northwestern PA, A strong cold front will sweep across the area through this morning.

Rain along and ahead of this front will continue across the area through mid morning, then gradually taper off as the front moves to our east.

Some locally heavy downpours will be possible through mid morning.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy this afternoon, but a few peaks of sunshine will be possible.

Highs today will range from the mid 40s near the lake shore, to around 60 south of I-80.

Tonight, low pressure will track eastward through the Great Lakes and southern Ontario. Some moisture will wrap around this system, spreading across northwestern Pennsylvania overnight.

Scattered showers will develop overnight, especially across the northern areas. Temperatures will cool and a few of the higher spots could see a little wet snow mix with the rain showers late tonight.

Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid 30s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible, especially across the north.

Again, a few of the higher locations could see some wet snow mix with the rain showers. Highs will only be in the mid to upper 40s.

It will be chilly Saturday night with scattered rain or snow showers possible across the area. Lows will fall to around 30 degrees.

Showers will end Sunday morning with partly to mostly cloudy skies expected during the afternoon. Highs will rebound to near 50 degrees.
