Netflix to introduce family package

Netflix to introduce family package, Netflix will introduce a family plan, the company announced on April 22.

"A few members with large families run into our 2-simultaneous-stream limit," the company said. "To best serve these members, we’re shortly adding a four-stream plan, at $11.99 in the U.S., and we expect fewer than one percent of members to take it."

"Once you have an active Netflix membership, you can have 6 devices registered towards your account at any given time, and you may stream on up to two simultaneously," under current company rules. "If you would like to stream on more than two devices at once, simply open a second account with a unique email address."

Members may receive the error message "Your Netflix account is in use on another device. Please stop playing on other devices to continue."

Postal costs do not appear to represent a danger of higher fees for those renting DVDs, the company added

"Consistent with our view last quarter," the company said, "we don’t foresee USPS service changes that will have a material negative impact upon us or our members for the remainder of 2013."
