Man critical after shot multiple times, getting into crash enroute to hospital, Moments after he was shot multiple times a man was involved in a crash while enroute to a hospital in Macon on Friday.

Police have released few details on the crash, but they believe the suspect who shot the man is an 18-year-old.

Shortly after 12 a.m., officers responded to the Villa West Apartments at 4006 Mercer University Drive after getting a report of gunfire and a person shot, police spokeswoman Ms. Jami Gaudet said.

“Upon arrival officers learned the victim had been transported to an area hospital, but while en route, the vehicle was involved in a traffic collision,” Ms. Gaudet said.

“Officer located the vehicle that had crashed and the victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.”

Investigators found evidence at the scene and issued warrants Friday evening for the arrest of 18-year-old Jarvis Streeter, she said.

Once arrested Mr. Street will be charged with criminal attempt to commit murder and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is listed in critical condition at the hospital where he is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds, Ms. Gaudet said.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting nor have they released any details on what happened.
