Man arrested after allegedly shooting seven people at a gathering in Macon, A man with a lengthy criminal history was arrested Tuesday for allegedly shooting seven people at a gathering inside a home in Macon earlier this year.

Mr. Adrian Maurice Fletcher, 26, was charged with seven counts of aggravated assault for the Feb. 24 shooting, according to Macon police.

His brother Mr. Frank Fletcher was arrested earlier on similar charges in the incident, police said.

The shooting happened shortly before 3:50 a.m. at 2856 Mercer University Drive, police spokeswoman Ms. Jami Gaudet said.

One of the victims suffered a critical gunshot wound to the thigh and at least four others were treated and released, Ms. Gaudet said.

So far, police have not released a motive for the shooting.

Mr. Fletcher, who was captured by the U.S. Marshal’s Office, has been arrested 16 other times dating back to 2005, Ms. Gaudet said.

He was also arrested for a probation violation, she said.
