Lumpy from 'Leave it to Beaver' dies at 71, Lumpy. It is one of those names that stays with you. Clarence 'Lumpy' Rutherford from television's "Leaver it to Beaver" passed away a day after turning 71. It is worth noting that Lumpy, otherwise know as actor Frank Bank, died on Tony Dow's( Wally Cleaver) 68th birthday, April 13.

In real life, Bank was a Los Angeles bond broker. On the show, he was one of Wally's friends and the TV son of Fred Rutherford, a friend of Wally's dad, Ward Cleaver.

Just like Eddie Haskell(actor Ken Osmond), Lumpy was a bit of a bully.

Bank appeared in the TV movie "Still the Beaver" in 1983. You might also remember he made appearances on the game shows, "Family Feud" and "Hollywood Squares."
