Jodi Arias case: Second juror dropped from high profile murder trial, n April 12, 2013, another juror was dismissed from the high profile Jodi Arias Arizona murder trial, according to USA Today.

Juror No. 11 was released due to health reasons, while just weeks ago, another juror was let go for misconduct for allegedly making comments that indicated she was biased, USA Today reports.

Arias, 32, is charged with the 2008 murder of her former lover, Travis Alexander, 30. He was stabbed 27 times, his throat was slashed from ear-to-ear, and he was shot in the head. She claims she killed him in self-defense after he became violent with her.

Also Friday, domestic violence expert Alyce LaViolette continued her testimony after reportedly being asked over 100 questions by jurors just the day before.

She has testified for more than a week, concluding that Arias had been abused by Alexander just months before Arias killed him.

If Arias is found guilty of murdering Alexander, she could face the death penalty.
