Japan earthquake of 6.3 magnitude hits 2 years after 9.0 shaker struck Nippon

Japan earthquake of 6.3 magnitude hits 2 years after 9.0 shaker struck Nippon, Japan was rattled by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake that hit western Japan in a news story that is breaking on April 12. According to Yahoo! via the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake "had its epicenter 24 miles northwest of Wakayama in western Honshu island." The report added that the depth registered at 3.3 miles.

No damage or casualties were immediately reported as a result of this act of Mother Nature but this is not definitive as the shaker just recently struck Nippon.

This a country constantly being hit by earthquakes and although these jolts are anticipated, locals never know exactly when the earth will shake nor how hard the quake will hit as witnessed by the 9.0 shaker that devastated this Asian country almost exactly two years ago.

That said, Japan's 6.3 earthquake is not the only shaker to hit the news this week. A 6.1 rattler shocked Iran when the quake struck near a nuclear plant in the southern part of the country on Tuesday, reportedly killing at least 37.

And so, as Japan experiences yet another shaker, this earthquake that was said to register 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale is being investigated. Stay tuned for more details as these details become available.
