Fair weather with less wind today as high pressure takes control, High pressure will settle into the region today from the upper Great Lakes. A northerly breeze will be prevalent through the day today, though not nearly as pronounced and strong as it was yesterday. In addition, the strong April sun will not be masked by as much cloud cover as it was yesterday. Temperatures are still expected to top out below seasonal averages.
The center of the high pressure area looks to crest over the region tonight, bringing another chilly evening to the region. As the work week begins, the high pressure area will move off to our northeast, while still remaining in firm control of our region’s weather. Temperatures will begin a slow moderation through this time, and return to seasonable levels.

The region looks to be impacted by a weak weather system on Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday morning. A cold front should pass through the area during this time frame, bringing some showers to the area. This will be followed by a resurgence of high pressure to round out the work week. Indications are that this high pressure area may actually remain in control of the weather through next weekend. Temperatures do look to remain right around, to slightly below, seasonal levels.
