'Deadliest Catch' star missing: Elliott Neese absent in premiere

Elliott Neese, one of the stars of “Deadliest Catch,” was missing from the premiere of season nine. There was no explanation as to where the captain of the Seabroke was or if he would be participating in future episodes. According to an April 12 report by The Hollywood Gossip, another captain on “Deadliest Catch” wasn't surprised.

“In all honesty, I'm kinda [sic] not surprised Elliott isn't here this year,” Sig Hansen, the captain of the Northwestern, said. “No owner is going to let a guy run a boat and not produce. You're going to lose your job.”

Despite Sig Hansen's prediction, Elliott Neese is “all in this year,” according to the Discovery Channel's website. It appears Elliott Neese only missed the season nine premiere. He will be in other episodes of “Deadliest Catch.”

At the time of publication, it was unknown why Elliott Neese missed the premiere of season nine. It was also unknown when he would be returning. Fans of “Deadliest Catch” will have to tune into the Discovery Channel to see when Elliott Neese returns.
