Cooler and unsettled weather to continue into the weekend

Cooler and unsettled weather to continue into the weekend, A cold front will move eastward across the area this morning. Rain, heavy at times, will continue to spread eastward through this morning. The rainfall will gradually taper off front west to east as the front moves through.

Temperatures across much of the area will rise to around 60 degrees this morning, then fall a bit this afternoon. It will be cooler near the lake shore.

There is a chance we could even see a little bit of sunshine this afternoon as drier air makes its way across the state.

Low pressure will track to the north of the area tonight as colder air spreads across the region. Some wrap-around moisture will also spread back across the area. Scattered showers are possible, especially across the northeast. A few locations could see the rain showers mix with wet snow. Lows tonight will be in the mid 30s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, especially across the northeast. Again, there could be a little wet snow mixed in with the rain in a few spots. Highs on Saturday will be around 50 degrees.

High pressure will build across the area Saturday night bringing some partial clearing. Lows will fall to the low 30s.

Sunday will be partly to mostly sunny and pleasant with highs around 60 degrees.
