Boston Marathon bombing: Westboro Baptist church praises God for act of terror

Boston Marathon bombing: Westboro Baptist church praises God for act of terror, The Westboro Baptist Church spokesperson and daughter of its founder, Margie J. Phelps, took to Twitter on April 15 to praise God for the Boston Marathon bombing. That act of terrorism has taken the lives of at least two people and has injured dozens.

“BREAKING: Westboro Baptist Church to picket funerals of those dead by Boston Bombs [sic],” Margie J. Phelps tweeted. “GOD SENT THE BOMBS IN FURY OVER FAG MARRIAGE! #PraiseGod [sic].”

As with any tragedy, the Wesboro Baptist Church is blaming same-sex marriage. Whether it is a natural disaster, school shooting or act of terrorism, the Westboro Baptist Church blames gay marriage. They praise God for those killed in tragedies, claiming God loves to kill people.

In addition to praising God for the Boston Marathon bombing, the Westboro Baptist Church is also threatening to protest the funerals of those who were killed in the Boston Marathon bombing. At the time of publication, it was unknown if the Westboro Baptist Church would actually make good on those threats. They are almost as famous for failing to show up as they are for actually picketing.
