Boston Marathon bombing: Westboro Baptist Church threatening to picket funerals, The Westboro is already making threats to picket the funerals of those killed by the Boston Marathon bombing. According to the Westboro Baptist Church's spokesperson and daughter of the founder, Margie J. Phelps, the Westboro Baptist Church will be protesting the funerals of those who died in the Boston Marathon bombing. She made the threat via Twitter on April 15.
“BREAKING: Westboro Baptist Church to picket funerals of those dead by Boston Bombs [sic],” the Westboro Baptist Church spokesperson tweeted. “GOD SENT THE BOMBS IN FURY OVER FAG MARRIAGE! #PraiseGod [sic].”
Once again, the Westboro Baptist Church is blaming same-sex marriage for the loss of human lives. This time, they are blaming gay marriage for an act of terror. Whether it is an automobile accident, school shooting or natural disaster, anytime lives are lost, the Westboro Baptist Church blames either same-sex marriage or abortion.
Although Westboro Baptist Church is already threatening to picket the funerals of those killed in the Boston Marathon bombing, it doesn't mean they are actually make any plans to carry out those threats. The Westboro Baptist Church is almost as famous for not showing up to protest funerals as they are for picketing funerals.
Should the Westboro Baptist Church make good on their threats to protest the funerals of those killed in the Boston Marathon bombing, it is almost certain they will be met with a counter-protest and strong opposition.
