Boston Marathon bombing death toll rises to 3, say police, On April 15, 2013, the Boston Police Dept. tweeted that three people are dead due to the horrific bombings that took place on the route of the famed Boston Marthon. More than 130 people were injured in the blasts.

One of the tweets also indicated that as of yet, authorities do not have a suspect in custody.

During a news conference Monday evening, police said they are not prepared to say they are “at ease at this time” when asked if they were sure if all explosive devices had been recovered.

The Wall Street Journal reports that five more devices were found in the Boston area after the initial two detonated along the race route.

According to the police department's tweets, those who have any information about the bombings can leave an anonymous tip at the BPD’s Crime Stoppers Tip Line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS.

In addition, anyone looking for relatives that may have been injured during the incident are asked to call 1-617-635-4500.
