Tsarnaev widow request: Kathleen Russell wants Tamerlan's body released

Tsarnaev widow request: Kathleen Russell wants Tamerlan's body released, Tsarnaev's widow has made a request. On April 30, Huffington Post reported that Kathleen Russell has decided to release her late husband's body so that his family can claim it and have a "proper" burial. Russell's attorney said that his client wants her late husband's body to go to his family -- perhaps his dad, Anzor Tsarnaev, will claim his body.

"Of course, family members will take possession of the body. We'll do it. We will do it. A family is a family," said the suspects' uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, who lives in Maryland. Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police on April 19. His body was dragged under the car his brother, Dzhokhar, was driving.

Tsarnaev's widow request isn't surprising as Tamerlan's body has been sitting at the medical examiner's office since he was killed. Many people were wondering who would end up claiming the body since the Tsarnaev's are in Russia but their dad is expected to come to The States any day now. Kathleen Richards has been cooperative with the FBI as they investigate the Boston Marathon bombings and the Tsarnaev brothers.

"Katherine and her family continue to be deeply saddened by the harm that has been caused," said her attorney, Amato DeLuca.

Once Tsarnaev's widow's request is complete, Tamerlan Tsarnaev's cause of death will be released to the public.
