The risk for showers and thunderstorms continue for the Clarksville area, A frontal system still remains to the north of the Clarksville area and will help trigger isolated showers and thunderstorms today. Temperatures will once again be warm, which will help keep the atmosphere unstable. The main cold front will move through the region Thursday night and will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms may be strong to severe with heavy rain and gusty winds as the main concern. The rain is expected to come to an end by Friday afternoon, just in time for Rivers and Spires in the downtown area. The weather for the festival should be dry and cool with temperatures in the fifties and lower sixties for each day.
