Tamerlan Tsarnaev: FBI investigated the Boston Marathon bombing suspect before

Tamerlan Tsarnaev: FBI investigated the Boston Marathon bombing suspect before, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the oldest of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects brothers, was investigated by the FBI two years ago. A foreign government suggested this to the FBI because they were concerned. According to an April 19 report by Fox News, this suggestion was made because the other government thought he might have “extremist ties.”

FBI officials investigated Tamerlan Tsarnaev. After a “full scrubbing,” nothing was found that would link him extremists. At the time of publication, it was unknown if the FBI did any additional checking into Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

It has been reported that Tamerlan Tsarnaev spent six months in Russia last year. At the time of publication, it was unknown how he spent his time in Russia. It has been speculated that he received some type of terrorist training, possibly learning how to make bombs, while he was in Russia.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in the early morning hours of April 19. He had been shot several times and it is believed that he had also been injured by a bomb. It was also reported that his younger brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev backed over him with the stolen vehicle when he escaped. It is unknown if injuries sustained when he was run over had anything to do with his death.
