'Take me out to the movies,' #42 Jackie Robinson rattles bat at the box office, What perfect timing for a baseball movie. As teams are getting settled in to their seasons, "42," the story of Jackie Robinson, is playing at your local movie theater. As noted at the end of the movie, 42 is the only number officially retired in Major League Baseball..

This movie is being referred to as a biopic, covering Robinson's first year with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Chadwick Boseman plays Jackie Robinson and Harrison Ford plays Branch Rickey, the Dodgers' owner who has the idea to bring a black man to his baseball team. Nicole Behaire plays Robinson's wife.

Baseball fans will get a kick out of the old school play by play announcer and the constant stroke of typewriter keys, chronicling the life of one of baseball's unforgettable players.
