No one won the jackpot. There were four $1 million winners; one each in California, Illinois, Texas and Virginia.
Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday after the draw entry closes at 7 p.m. PT.
"The Powerball prize is paid in 30 annual installments unless the winner chooses the Powerball Cash Option," according to lottery officials. The Cash Option for a Powerball jackpot must be selected by the jackpot winner within 60 days after the Lottery authorizes payment."
The overall odds of winning any prize in Mega Millions is about one in 32 and the odds of winning the jackpot is about 1 in 175 million, according to lottery officials.
