Necrophiliac pastor sentenced in murder of Rebekah Gay

Necrophiliac pastor sentenced in murder of Rebekah Gay, Wanting to fulfill his sexual fantasy of making love to a corpse, former Mich. minister and pastor John D. White, 55, was sentenced on April 18 to a minimum of 56 years behind bars for murdering his former fiancée's 24-year-old daughter, Rebekah Gay.

White, who had a prior record of assaulting females, was sentenced Thursday by Isabella County Chief Circuit Judge Paul Chamberlain, who said there’s no good reason why White should ever get out of jail. According to MSN, although the former pastor’s sentence has a minimum sentence of 56 years, the max is 85 years in prison.

White pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder in the slaying last Halloween of Rebekah Gay. According to police, White confessed to killing Gay in her Broomfield Township home because he wanted to have sex with a dead body.

According to the prosecution in the case, the minister drank a few beers, went to Gay’s mobile home last Halloween, and “repeatedly struck her in the head with a mallet and then strangled her with a zip tie.”

Gay’s 3-year-old son was present in the mobile home at the time of her murder.

White dumped Rebekah Gay’s body in some nearby woods, and then returned to the mobile home to dress up the 3-year-old in a Halloween costume before dropping the child off with his dad.

Police said White had undressed Gay's body, but he couldn't remember if he had had sex with it.

John D. White had previously spent 12 years in prison, getting released in 2007, in the manslaughter death of a 26-year-old woman. Prior to that killing, White had been placed on probation in 1981 for choking and stabbing a 17-year-old girl.

White was the former minister of Christ Community Fellowship church in Deerfield Township, whose congregation was aware of his criminal past.
