Mainly cloudy and cooler with more rain showers arriving this afternoon, A stationary front will remain south of the region today and stall out in the mid-Atlantic. A strong wave of low pressure will approach along the front tonight into Friday, bringing a significant round of rain, with some sleet and freezing rain across northern and higher terrain areas. A gradual drying trend will develop into the weekend as the storm pulls away, but it will remain relatively cool for mid-April.
