Little League shooting: Games suspended after shooting outside game

Little League shooting: Games suspended after shooting outside game, Arguments between parents at the sporting events of children is nothing new, but sometimes they can be taken to an extreme. Such is the case when a Little League shooting at a children's baseball game in Vallejo was reported by the SFGate on Friday, April 19, 2013.

All games for the North Vallejo Little League have been suspended after shots were fired during a dispute outside one of the games earlier in the week.

Vallejo police Lt. Kenny Park said that the incident actually happened around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening near the Continentals of Omega Boys and Girls Club. It appears that two men started arguing at the ball field and things escalated.

It spilled over into the parking lot and one of the men drove away. Park said that is when the other man opened fired. he didn't hit the intended victim, but did hit the vehicle.

Police believe that at least one of the men is a parent of a baseball player. There have been no arrests yet made in the Little League shooting, but an investigation is currently ongoing. Unfortunately, the kids will be the one to suffer.

The North Vallejo Little League organization said on its Facebook page that all games have been suspended until further notice.
