Braless women’s breasts sag less, says French study

Braless women’s breasts sag less, says French study, Women may think that the sagging breasts are the result of the forces of nature and the downward pull of gravity, but it simply isn’t so says a new French study. The Huffington Post reports on April 11, that women who go braless may actually be doing their breasts a favor.

According the study conducted by Jean-Denis Rouillon, a professor at the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon, wearing a bra prevents a woman’s breasts from developing muscle tissue which provides natural support for the breasts.

The 15-year study also noted that for women who go braless, the nipples are lifted higher in relation to the shoulders than the nipples of women who wear a bra. In the long run, going braless is healthier for the breasts.

He does note, however, that women who have worn bras for decades will not see improvement in the structure of their breasts by stopping wearing a bra now.
