Boston Marathon bombing witness says blood was ‘everywhere’, On April 15, 2013, two bombs went off along the route of the Boston Marathon about 10 seconds apart, killing two people and injuring more than 130 others, according to The New York Times.

Reports indicate one of those killed was an 8 year old boy.

Witnesses to the horrific event have described what looked to them like a war zone, with blood and gore covering the sidewalk.

Spectator Steve Silva, a Boston.com sports producer told CNN, “It was just immediately (evident) there were injuries, right in the middle of the spectator crowds. I saw dismemberment, I saw blood everywhere.”

He added, “I saw someone lose their leg, people are crying, people are confused.”

Boston Globe reporter Billy Baker tweeted, “Now getting gruesome first –hand accounts of hair on fire, severed limbs, battlefield scene in front of Charlesmark Hotel.”

According to CNN’s evening news broadcast, 10 amputations have taken place.

Several persons of interest have been questioned after the bombings, however, Anderson Cooper via CNN is reporting a darker skinned, or black male wearing a black sweater and carrying a black backpack who is a possibly a foreign national is being sought by authorities.
