Boston Marathon bombing suspect in custody now

Boston Marathon bombing suspect in custody now, After a shooting and carjacking in Watertown, Mass., one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing is now in custody. The other suspect has yet to be apprehended. According to an April 18 report by the Boston Globe, the other Boston Marathon bombing suspect eluded the police after a firefight.

An MIT police officer was shot and killed on April 18. That was the incident that led to one of the suspects being taken into custody. It is unknown which of the two suspects is currently in custody.

Police officers were told not to use there cell phones as they searched the 20-block perimeter in the area where they believe the other Boston Marathon bombing suspect is now located. Explosions were heard in Watertown and the police were concerned about improvised explosive devices.

Reports of hand grenades, IEDs, bombs and “heavily armed men” were being broadcast live over the cable news stations. Gunshots and explosions were heard in the area. Residents, at the time of publication, were being told to lock their doors and stay inside their homes.

According to live reports on different cable news stations, the FBI had confirmed that one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing is in custody. However, the situation is very fluid. At the time of publication, conflicting reports were being given on live television.
