Bomb suspect images: Photo leaked of two men thought responsible for bombings

Bomb suspect images: Photo leaked of two men thought responsible for bombings, Images of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects are hitting the web early, as police and the FBI are expected to appeal to the public for assistance in tracking down those responsible.

Reuters carried an April 18 press release, calling security video obtained showing the suspects “the biggest break in the case yet.”

The individuals, who have not been named, are seen in the video carrying bags that are consistent with evidence obtained at the bomb sites. One suspect is carrying a backpack and the other is seen dropping off a bag at the location of one of the explosions.

The video clips came from a Lord & Taylor department store near the crime scenes. Federal investigators are hoping to put names to the faces.

The photo obtained from the video shows two younger men, who appear to be of Middle Eastern descent. One is dressed in black and wearing a white baseball cap with sunglasses on the brim. The other is dressed in a lighter blue shirt. Both men appear to be wearing active wear that a jogger may use.

“The camera from Lord & Taylor is the best source of video so far,” Dot Joyce, a spokeswoman for Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, told The Boston Globe. “All I know is that they are making progress.”

The pictures and video of the suspects are expected to be officially released at a new conference later today, but their photos have already leaked to the web.
