Above average temperatures to start the workweek in Clarksville, Warm air will continue to funnel into the Clarksville area as temperatures today will climb into the upper seventies. A partly cloudy sky is expected today, but the humidity will increase and the risk for showers and thunderstorms will also increase. The risk will start tonight and will last through a majority of the workweek. Temperatures will be in the eighties Tuesday and Wednesday as partly sunny skies are expected, but the risk for a shower or thunderstorm will continue. The best chance for precipitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening as a strong frontal system is expected to move through the region. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will accompany some of the thunderstorms, but at this time a large severe weather event is not expected. Looking to the rest of the workweek, temperatures will fall back into the upper fifties to lower sixties with clear skies.
